20TH AUGUST - RADIO DAY
The concept of the radio was introduced in the late 1800's and the technology has endured as part of our daily lives for over a century. Radio has been an important part of society delivering information, news, weather forecasts, traffic updates and above all else, entertainment over the waves 24 hours a day.
Throughout the decades the design of the radio has changed form, but the concept has barely altered and it is still very much a part of daily life for most people.
On National Radio Day (US) we wanted to give a nod and salute to this fantastic invention that we would be truly lost without. In today's world we still use them in the car, on our smartphones, online and still in the home too.
