Breakfasts
Ham and Cheese Toastie
Ham and Cheese Toastie
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (your preferred type)
- 2 slices of cheese or grated cheese
- 2 - 3 slices of ham
- Butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat the air fryer at 180°C for 3-5 minutes.
2. Start assembling the toastie by taking the two slices of bread and spreading butter on one side. If you wish to use other condiments like mustard or mayonaise, do so on the unbuttered side of the toast
3. Take one slice of bread and layer the cheese and ham on the unbuttered side of the bread. Place the remaining slice on top with the buttered side facing out.
4. Take your assembled sandwich and place it into the air fryer basket. Sprinkle on top some cheese for extra flavour.
5. Cook the toastie in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes at 180°C. Halfway through, make sure to flip the toastie to ensure even cooking on both sides.
6. The toastie is complete when all the cheese has melted and browned on both sides.
7. Take the toastie out, cut and serve your delicious breakfast toastie.
Air Fryer Breakfast Burritos
Air Fryer Breakfast Burritos
Ingredients:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 Large eggs
- 60g shredded cheddar cheese
- 60g cooked bacon or sausage
- 75g bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 of an onion, diced
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions:
1. To prepare the filling, scramble the eggs in a pan, then mix in the cooked bacon or sausage, bell pepper, onion, salt, and pepper.
2. Assemble the burritos by spooning the filling into the centre of each tortilla, sprinkle with cheese, and roll up tightly.
3. Lightly spray the burritos with olive oil, place them in the air fryer basket.
4. Cook at 180°C for 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown, then enjoy with some avocados or dipping sauce.
Air Fryer Avocado Toast with Egg
Air Fryer Avocado Toast with Egg
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- Olive oil spray
- Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (to taste)
- Lemon juice: a squeeze
Instructions:
1. To toast the bread, lightly spray the bread slices with olive oil and air fry at 180°C for 3-4 minutes until toasted.
2. Spray small, air fryer-safe ramekins with olive oil, crack an egg into each, and air fry at 160°C for 5-7 minutes, until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
3. Spread the mashed avocado on the toasted bread, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and add a squeeze of lemon juice. Top each with an egg and serve.
Banana and Oat Muffins
Banana and Oat Muffins
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 100g (3.5 oz) oat flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 50g (1.8 oz) walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Add the eggs, oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and honey. Mix well until you get a smooth batter. If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
2. Pour the batter into muffin molds and place them in the air fryer basket.
3. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, until the muffins are golden on top.
4. Let the muffins cool slightly and serve with a cup of tea or coffee.
Lunch/Dinner Meal Ideas
Chicken Tikka Skewers
Chicken Tikka Skewers
Ingredients:
- 2 Large chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 150g Yoghurt
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Salt (add to your preference)
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- A few drops of red food colouring (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the yoghurt, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, chilli powder, cumin, turmeric, paprika, tomato puree, and red food colouring if using. This is our marinade.
2. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes and add them to the marinade. Mix well to coat all the pieces.
3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavour.
4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
5. Pre-heat your air fryer at 180°C for a few minutes.
6. Place the chicken skewers into the air fryer basket making sure to leave some space between each one.
7. Cook at 180°C for 12-15 minutes and turn them halfway through to ensure they're evenly cooked.
8. The chicken should be fully cooked and slightly charred around the edges. If you have a cooking thermometer, you can check if the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 75°C (165°F) .
Salmon & Asparagus
Salmon & Asparagus
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp garlic granules (optional)
- 4 salmon fillets (we used 4 x 130g fillets), skin on or removed
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- ½ tbsp lemon juice
- cooked asparagus
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together a teaspoon each of salt, pepper, mixed herbs, olive oil, lemon juice and optionally, garlic granules.
2. Pre-heat your dual air fryer to 180°C for a few minutes.
3. Lay your salmon fillets out on the chopping board and brush them with the mix we just made above.
4. Brush this mixture on the asparagrus as well.
5. Place the salmon and asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 180°C and cook for 8 to 10 minutes (depending on the size of the salmon), until the salmon is thoroughly cooked.
Then enjoy with a side of some fresh rice.
Loaded Fries
Loaded Fries
Ingredients:
- A bag of pre-cooked chips
- 200g Mince
- Shredded Cheese
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Olive Oil
- Parsely
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat you air fryer at 200°C for 3-5 minutes.
2. Pour your desired amount of chips into the air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook these for 10-15 minutes until they are crispy and golden.
3. Prepare your mince whilst the chips are cooking. In a small pan, add in some oil and the mince. Season with salt, pepper and any other spices you wish. Let this cook for about 10 minutes.
4. Once they're both done cooking, spoon the mince on top of the fries. Add in some tomatoes, chopped peppers or jalapenos if you wish. Sprinkle over some cheese to top it off.
5. Place all this in the air fryer for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese has melted and become golden brown.
6. Garnish with a sprinkle of parsley and enjoy.
Crispy Eggplant
Crispy Eggplant
Ingredients:
- 1 large eggplant
- 100g (3.5 oz) breadcrumbs
- 50g (1.8 oz) grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions:
1. Wash and cut the eggplant into slices about 1 cm thick. Sprinkle with salt and let them sit in a colander for about 30 minutes to remove excess water.
2. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the Parmesan. Dry the eggplant slices and dip them first in the egg, then in the breadcrumb mixture.
3. Place the eggplant slices in the air fryer basket, spraying lightly with olive oil. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for about 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until they are golden and crispy.
4. Serve the crispy eggplant slices as a side dish or main course, perhaps with a tomato sauce or yogurt dip.
Snack Ideas
Zucchini Fries
Zucchini Fries
Ingredients:
- 1 Large Zucchini
- 2 Eggs
- Breadcrumbs
- Powdered Cheese (Parmiggiano Preferably)
- Seasoning of Choice (We prefer Paprika + Salt & Pepper)
Instructions:
1. Slice your zucchini into the shape of fries.
2. Crack 2 eggs into a small mixing bowl, and mix thoroughly with a fork.
3. Mix breadcrumbs, the powdered cheese and your seasonings all in a separate bowl or plate.
4. Dip each zucchini slice into the egg, let the excess drip off, then dip and roll into the breadcrumb seasoning mix.
5. Place all your seasoned zucchini slices into your air fryer, at 200c for 10-12 minutes!
6. Enjoy with ketchup or your favourite dipping sauce!

Halloumi Skewers
Halloumi Skewers
Ingredients:
- 250g Halloumi Cheese
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- A Handful of Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 red onion
- Thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the ingredients by chopping up the halloumi, bell peppers and onions into bite size pieces.
2. Place these in a bowl with the tomatoes and drizzle over balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. Then, season with thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
3. Pre-heat your dual air fryer to 180°C for a few minutes.
4. Thread the halloumi cheese and vegetables in your preferred order onto the sticks.
5. Place these skewers in the air fryer basket making sure they don't overlap.
6. Cook them for 10-12 minutes, turning them halfway until the vegetables are tender and the halloumi is golden brown.
Air Fryer Roast Potatoes
Air Fryer Roast Potatoes
Ingredients:
- Potatoes: About 4-5 medium-sized potatoes
- Olive oil: 2-3 tablespoons
- Salt: 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
- Black pepper: ½ teaspoon
- Herbs: 1-2 teaspoons (choose from rosemary, thyme, oregano, or a mix)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into even-sized chunks, about 2-3 cm in size.
2. Place the potato chunks in a pot of boiling water. Boil for about 10 minutes, or until they are just starting to soften but still firm. Drain the potatoes and let them dry for a few minutes.
3. In a large bowl, toss the parboiled potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs until evenly coated.
4. Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer drawer, making sure they are in a single layer for even cooking.
5. Cook at 200°C for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
6. Once golden and crispy, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and serve hot. Enjoy your healthier alternative to traditional roast potatoes.
Apple Fritters

Ingredients:
- 2 apples
- 50g (1.8 oz) flour
- 1 egg
- 50ml (0.2 cups) milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Icing sugar (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
1. Peel the apples and slice them into rounds about 1 cm thick. Remove the core with an apple corer or small knife.
2. In a bowl, beat the egg with the milk, flour, sugar, and cinnamon until you get a smooth batter.
3. Dip the apple slices in the batter and place them in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking spray and cook at 180°C (356°F) for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
4. Dust the fritters with icing sugar and serve warm. Perfect for a sweet and light snack or breakfast.
Dessert Ideas
Valentines Brownies
The Valentine's Day Brownie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 box of brownie mix (choose your favourite brand)
- 30ml Vegetable Oil
- 60ml Water
- 1 Medium Egg
- Fresh strawberries
- Heart-shaped sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:
1. Use the instructions on the box to prepare the brownie batter and add any ingredients needed.
2. Combine all of these ingredients together by using a mixer like the Duronic HM3 hand mixer or the Duronic SM3 stand mixer.
3. Pre-heat the air fryer to 160°C for a few minutes.
4. Line a small baking tray with baking paper and then pour the mixture in. (Make sure the tray fits in the air fryer drawer beforehand).
5. Let your brownie cook for the time stated in the box (usually around 20 minutes).
6. To check if the brownie is cooked, insert a clean skewer or fork in the middle of the brownie and check if it comes out clean.
7. Take the brownie out when it's done and allow to cool.
8. Now decorate it with cream and heart shaped sprinkles for that Valentines touch.
Air Fryer Donuts
Air Fryer Donuts
Ingredients:
- 250g all-purpose flour
- 50g granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 120ml Milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the sugar glaze:
- 120g powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. To prepare the dough, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
3. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1 cm (½ inch) thickness.
5. Cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters.
6. Pre-heat the air fryer at 180°C and lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent the oil from sticking.
7. Place the donuts in a single layer in the air fryer drawers, leaving space between each donut.
8. Cook for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through.
9. Prepare the sugar glaze by mixing the powdered, milk and vanilla extract. Whilst the doughnuts are still warm, dip them in the sugar glaze, let the excess drip off.
10. Coat them in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar and enjoy.
Giant Cookie

Ingredients:
- A pre-made cookie mix
- Chocolate chips
- Whipped Cream or Ice Cream
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, prepare the cookie mix as it says on the packaging until a dough is formed.
2. Pre-heat the air fryer at 180°C for 3-5 minutes.
3. Place the dough in a small baking tray and sprinkle over some extra chocolate chips.
4. Place this into the large basket of the air fryer and cook for about 15-20 minutes.
5. Once cooked top off with whipped cream or ice cream (or both...) and some more chocolate chips. Enjoy!
Baked Doughnuts (Bomboloni)
Baked Doughnuts (Bomboloni)
Ingredients:
- 250g (1.1 cups) all-purpose flour
- 100ml (0.4 cups) warm milk
- 40g (1.4 oz) sugar
- 40g (1.4 oz) softened butter
- 7g (0.25 oz) fresh yeast
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Nutella or custard for filling
- Icing sugar
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Add the flour, sugar, egg, vanilla, and softened butter. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Let it rise for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles about 7-8 cm (3 inches) in diameter. Let the dough circles rise for another 30 minutes.
3. Cook the doughnuts in the air fryer at 180°C (356°F) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until they are puffed and golden.
4. Once cooled, fill the doughnuts with Nutella or custard and dust with icing sugar before serving.
